Psalm 90:12
“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” We all use a calendar to portion out our time. It does not tell us how many days remain. “People are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
The standard is not other people. It is God’s law. The calendar carries a verse for each month: Genesis 1 in January, Psalm 139 in February, Matthew 22 in March, 2 Timothy 3 in April, Romans 10 in May, Psalm 119 in June, John 3:16 in July, Acts 4 in August, Psalm 116 in September, John 14 in October, Psalm 15 in November, Psalm 90 in December.
