Romans 5:8
Scripture says that God is love (1 John 4:8) and that he showed his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). We have broken his law. He took the guilt on himself. Before he died, Jesus said, “It is finished.”
“He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). The pen is a reminder that forgiveness is written down, received, not earned.
